Perth Martial Arts Centre takes over Melbourne

Professor William Dias led a team of 8 to the 2017 Pan Pacific Championships in Melbourne. The team consisting of 6 men, 1 woman and 1 junior, managing to bring back to Perth 8 gold medals and one silver.

“The IBJJF (International Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Federation) Pan Pacific Championships is considered to be the most prestigious and difficult competition in the whole Oceania, and to have our students from Perth achieving these amazing results is definitely something to proud of.” Says Professor Dias.

The students went through an intensive training camp conducted by Prof. Will and Prof. Paulo, they trained 2 times a day for 8 weeks straight, the coaches applied training methods used in the best BJJ academies in Brazil consisting of drilling sessions, strengthening training, competition simulation training and mental focusing preparation.

The team now is back in Perth but that doesn’t mean they will rest, the champions will join the rest of the team to face the last challenge of 2017 which is the AFBJJ State Title on the 12 of November.
